BOOKS

"26/11: Eighteen"
Students of Journalism Mentor, a post graduate one-year programme in Mumbai, have put together what is likely the first published tribute for the 18 men in uniform who sacrificed their lives in the Mumbai Terror attacks of November 2008.

The book, titled "26/11: Eighteen", is a tribute to the 18 personnel who died during the armed combat over the three days, which began on November 26, 2008.

The students who have put this book together represent Journalism Mentor, which is a unique mentorship based programme for students keen on studying serious Journalism. Journalism Mentor is part of the not for profit JM Foundation for Excellence in Journalism.

The book is all of 72 pages and profiles the career and personality of the men in uniform. It traces the circumstances of death of these martyrs and also encapsulates their unfinished dreams. The proceeds of this book would be donated to the Police Welfare Fund to support the education of children of the martyrs.

The book is priced at Rs 500 and will be available at all major book stores in India. It is being distributed with support from Westland and Crossword.

MAGAZINE PUBLISHING

"Animation Reporter"
Animation Reporter is India's premiere animation, special effects and gaming magazine addressed to students and professionals engaged in these industries. The editorial focus of the magazine is to provide the readers with the latest information and to give them tools, both how-to and thinking, to improve their craft.

Over the last 20 issues, since we took over the publication, the magazine has become a standard-bearer. Appreciation for what we do has come from national and international artists and academics, some of whom have written for the magazine and who have always tried to help us keep the reader informed and engaged.

Animation Reporter may be the only magazine in the country that provides circulation figures in the magazines and has consistently maintained that any advertiser is free to see our records to check the veracity of our figures. The magazine is published under licence from Maya Entertainment Limited, the owners of the title. Go to www.animationreporter.com

WEB PUBLISHING
We are in the process of launching our own portals, which will be dedicated to providing information and knowledge services in specific industry areas.
